Costa Rica's Peter Madoff?
Bernard Madoff who defrauded his clients of more than $19 billion has gone on April 14, 2021 to meet his maker. Madoff's home since July 2009 was a prison in North Carolina, where he was serving a 150-year term.Though Madoff said he alone was responsible, others also went to jail. His brother, Peter, the firm’s chief compliance officer, pleaded guilty to securities fraud and falsifying records and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. This goes to show that brothers and family in general can be complicit in complicity. In our case against Jorge Arce Lara we presented proof to the court that his brother Mauricio Arce Lara was deeply involved. Accomplice? Mastermind? Times are getting uncomfortable for brother Mauricio and his company Piasa Consultores!
