24 Years in Jail for your Brother in Spirit, Jorge Arce Lara

On May 24, 2022 Costa Rica lawyer Juan José Nassar Güell has been sentenced to 24 years in prison and a compensation to his victims of US$2,2MM plus Costa Rica colones 111MM (approx. US$165,000). Accused of a US$5MM scam and indicted on 14 counts of fraud, Nassar Güell systematically pillaged his clients in an apparently similar modus operandi as Jorge Arce Lara. This 24 year sentence goes to show that despite all his tricks to delay his process the day of reckoning approaches and Jorge Arce Lara could very well spend the rest of his life behind bars.
